![]() ![]() ![]() I've decided next year when I attend this. I didn't pay for either and walked to a nearby café for some food. Went for coffee and some toast one morning in the lounge to be given the smallest Americano I've ever had, and my toast took 25 minutes - and was then served ice cold. Red Bar didn't have enough staff on either, this is a common theme in the hotel. They have some randoms wandering around with iPads to help with non-check-in issues, but really is just a lack of people. There is always a significant delay to check out too, not enough front desk staff for such a large property. Every time I go to this annual event there is a long wait for check in. ![]() The downside is the service in the hotel which always disappoints. There is a Starbucks on site too which is reasonably busy. Other pluses - the room itself is fine, the location is perfect right in the heart of Mayfair and within walking distance of everything - the water pressure in the room is incredible, like a Karcher jet-wash when you shower. The food and service were both excellent a the event and there were plenty of staff, our waiter was very good too during the event. I was attending a large event in the great room, which was fantastic! As a venue for a large-scale event, this is a great hotel. ![]()
